In recent years, the Mediterranean region has become increasingly crucial for European energy security and the sustainable energy transition. Its role as a supplier of natural gas, a hub for renewable energy, and a partner in electricity interconnection and green hydrogen production continues to grow.<\/p>\n
Since 2023, under a renewed EU co-funded agenda, MEDREG has been supporting its members\u2014energy regulators of Mediterranean countries\u2014in developing cross-border infrastructure and enhancing the integration of renewables by sharing regulatory expertise and experience. As our members adopt convergent practices and a coherent regulatory approach, they will present and discuss the progress made and their prospects in shaping a Euro-Mediterranean energy market.<\/p>\n
This high-level discussion will provide a\u00a0platform for exchanging knowledge and building bridges between the energy industry and regulators<\/strong>, aimed at developing infrastructure and reinforcing the region’s energy supply security.
