Mediterranean July – Italy

Our trip to the Mediterraneo stops in Italy with the presentation of a graphic novel and musical interludes, organised by the Embassy of Italy and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in Ireland, and the support of the Instituto Cervantes Dublin.

The authors of the book Terraneo, published in Italian and in Spanish, and addressed to a young audience (+7 y.o.), will discuss with Marco Gioacchini, director of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Dublin about their work.

The encounter will be enriched by musical interludes with pieces by Italian and Spanish composers (Mauro Giuliani, Paganini, Manuel de Falla, Pablo de Sarasate, Gaspar Sanz, Fernando Sor) performed live by young musicians Jamie Gogan (guitar) and Valentine Laporte (flute).
