Premier Séminaire International en ligne sur la migration et la coopération entre les villes de la Méditerranée

Start date: 11/30/2021
End date: 11/30/2021

The first International Seminar on Migration and Cooperation among Mediterranean Cities cities aims to launch a process of dialogue among local local governments and civil society, organisations working on migrants’ rights, and other supra-municipal entities at national and regional levels. The seminar is part of a continuous process of work among territorial actors aiming at contributing to the improvement of coexistence and to strengthening the advocacy capacity of local governments.

This seminar is the result of the synergy between two Actions funded by the European Union and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation within the framework of the Mediterranean City to City Migration Programme (MC2CM). The first project, entitled “Governance and Interculturality: Mediterranean Cities, Diverse Cities” is led by the Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (FAMSI); and (FAMSI); and the second, entitled “How to build our cities through social cohesion social cohesion: Building the Living Together” is implemented by the ANMAR Federation of Local Authorities of Northern Morocco and Andalusia.

Along two days, the event will gather local actors of the Euro-Mediterranean area to exchange on a variety of topics that range from communication, interculturality or addressing racism and xenophobia.
