5th edition of the WestMED Stakeholder Conference

Over the years, this annual event has become a key platform for connecting hundreds of stakeholders from across the Mediterranean and beyond, fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and advancing joint action in the blue economy.

This year’s focus will be on the main areas that the WestMED Initiative actively facilitates: Maritime Clusters, Sustainable Aquaculture, Energy Transition, Maritime Spatial Planning and Blue Skills/ Ocean Literacy.

Next to this, the European Ocean Pact and the Pact for the Mediterranean will be featured and explored how the WestMED Assistance Mechanism can act as a bridge between its priorities and concrete action on the ground through regional project cooperation opportunities.

The day will be concluded by announcing the Winners of the 2025 WestMED Project Awards.

It will be fully in-person and interpretation will be available in English and French for the plenary sessions.

This conference is organised by the WestMED Assistance Mechanism in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, the Secretariat General for Sea Affairs of Tunisia, CINEA and DG MARE.

  • The logo can be used by groups and organizations who like to align themselves with the International Mediterranean Day. It is to be used at events that in no way bring disrepute to the Mediterranean Day promoted values. It is also used for demonstrating support and involvement through non-saleable, non-commercial products and resources that promote or support Mediterranean Day aims and objectives.
  • The logo must not be used for any form of merchandising to generate commercial gain or sale of products. It must also not be used in association with any form of harmful, violent or illegal activity. To report breaches, please email communication@ufmsecretariat.org
