The Mediterranean Sea: A River of Many Tributaries Identities, Religious Dialogue, and Sustainability

With this event, RIDE aims to focus the attention on the role that the Region of the Mediterranean can embody as a factor of mediation in the encounter between different cultural and religious identities. Further, the intent is to focus the debate on the social function of local entities and municipalities as actors that can implement systems of integration and agreements of international cooperation, taking inspiration from the teachings of Giorgio La Pira and the mission of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR).

All of these themes will be presented paying attention to the question of migration in the Mediterranean and the rights connected to the status of migrant and refugee, on the basis of the objectives set in the Global Compacts.
